Evanston Technology Partners Brings Cybersecurity Careers to Bronzeville
Evanston Technology Partners (ETP) has opened a landmark 5,000 square foot headquarters in Chicago's historic Bronzeville neighborhood, establishing what is believed to be the city's first Cybersecurity Operations and Enterprise Technology Innovation Center (COETIC).
The facility, located at 56 E. 47th Street, received a $500,000 TIF Works grant from the City of Chicago — a testament to the city's confidence in ETP's mission to bring high-paying technology careers to underserved South Side communities.
In partnership with IBM, ETP trained 40 professionals at the new facility, making ETP the **largest IBM Security credentialed partner in the United States**. The training program focused on cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, and enterprise security architecture — skills that command salaries ranging from $80,000 to $140,000 annually.
"We are building a pipeline of technology talent right here in Bronzeville," said Emmanuel Jackson, ETP's Founder and CEO. "These are not just jobs — these are careers that can transform families and communities."
ETP also partnered with Dell Technologies and Hitachi to equip the COETIC facility with enterprise-grade infrastructure, creating a real-world training environment that mirrors the technology stacks used by Fortune 500 companies.
The Bronzeville headquarters represents a significant milestone in ETP's mission: proving that world-class technology talent can be developed in communities that have historically been excluded from the technology economy.
